Who We Are
The Notts County Disabled Supporters Association (NCDSA) is a group founded by disabled Notts County supporters, for disabled Notts County supporters. Our mission is simple: to promote, enhance, and further the football experience for all disabled fans. We’re passionate about creating a welcoming, inclusive community where everyone can enjoy supporting Notts County, regardless of their abilities.
Our Mission
At NCDSA, we believe that football is for everyone. Our aim is to ensure that every disabled supporter has access to the best possible matchday experience. We work tirelessly to:
- Provide a strong voice for disabled fans in conversations with the club.
- Ensure the stadium and facilities are fully accessible.
- Organise matchday trips and social events that are inclusive and accessible to all.
- Advocate for improved services and experiences for disabled supporters within the wider football community.
What We Do
- Matchday Support: We attend both home and away matches as a group, ensuring disabled supporters have the support they need to fully enjoy the game. From accessible transport to seating, we help ensure everything runs smoothly.
- Social Events: Beyond football, we hold regular social events to foster community among our members. These include meet-ups, fundraising events, and opportunities to connect with other fans.
- Advocacy & Accessibility: We work closely with Notts County Football Club to address the needs of disabled fans. By collaborating with the club, we ensure that stadium facilities, services, and matchday experiences are continuously improved to meet accessibility standards.
Our Vision
We envision a future where every disabled football fan can experience the excitement of live football without any barriers. We’re committed to breaking down obstacles and creating a community where every supporter feels valued, included, and empowered.
Laura Cameron: A Champion for Disabled Supporters
We are incredibly proud of Laura Cameron, a dedicated and active member of our community who was recently recognised as the Captain’s Corner Winner for May by the Notts County Foundation. Laura’s passion for football and her commitment to supporting disabled fans have been instrumental in enhancing the experience for everyone involved.
Her award, which celebrates individuals making a positive impact in the community, reflects her tireless work in promoting inclusivity and accessibility within the Notts County fanbase. Laura’s leadership and dedication are an inspiration to us all, and we’re thrilled to see her recognized for the difference she’s making.
Her achievements continue to push us forward in our mission to ensure that disabled supporters are valued, supported, and given the best possible experience on matchdays.
